Bookings and operations at Playa Maya continue as usual, our new & improved web site design has just been delayed by a number of things, some well beyond our control (even Eyjafjallajökull, most recently!). That will appear here soon, however please note in the meantime that rates & discounts still showing here for the spring, summer & fall of 2009 are also applicable to the same periods of 2010. But as always, we'll be more than happy to clarify any questions you may have when you submit your request for a stay with us!

RESTAURANT RAVES
We had the best fish tacos EVER at Playa Maya, a small hotel restaurant right on the beach in Playa del Carmen: chunks of grilled red snapper, soft corn tortillas and pico de gallo full of ripe (!) tomatoes, minced jalapeños, onion and cilantro. All they needed was a squeeze of lime, handily plucked from the top of the Sol beer bottle... Check out the entire review here, if you like!

FROMMER'S FIRST CHOICE!
Of the beach hotels in downtown Playa, this one would be my first choice. There are a lot of reasons to like it... That's what the distinguished Frommer's series has been saying about Playa Maya in print for the last few years, but they have now gone online with that recommendation here, for those who would like to take a look!

	We liked your boutique hotel -- the room with the beautiful seaview, the attitude of your staff, and particularly the 'you're someone special' service. Thank you for making our Christmas a special treat --including a gift from Santa hanging on our doorknob. I can't imagine how he knew where to look for us. :-) We certainly will recommend you to our friends -- especially the one getting married in Playa del Carmen in March whose friends are flying in to celebrate the event. We look forward to staying with you again.
